CSD releases Request for Information for Community Solar Pilot for FY 2016-17

The Department of Community Services and Development (CSD)-administered solar programs for qualifying low-income Californians are part of California's Climate Investments that reduce greenhouse gases while also delivering economic, environmental, and public health benefits.

By design, the solar programs leverage state Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds under the Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP), Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funds,  utility‑funded incentives, and other similar resources to increase the health and safety benefits of weatherization services to low-income families.

CSD invites interested parties to provide feedback on the design of a proposed Community Solar Pilot that would be developed under LIWP. The information sought through this RFI will inform the development of a Community Solar Pilot program model and procurement.
