SGC releases Transformative Climate Communities Program Fourth Revision Draft Guidelines

Through the Transformative Climate Communities Program, the State of California is proposing to invest $140 million of cap and trade money next year in three communities – likely $70 million in Fresno, $35 million in Los Angeles, and $35 million in a third location.

Over the next few months, the Strategic Growth Council (SGC) will be engaging in a dialogue about how to leverage these investments, in combination with public agencies, community groups, foundations, businesses, financial institutions, nongovernmental organizations, and all interested parties to be truly transformative.

We want to use this State investment as a catalyst for a larger discussion and a much larger overall investment in our communities. That requires your input and engagement.

The deadline to submit written comments is Wednesday, August 2, 2017 by 5:00 pm. Please submit public comments to tccpubliccomments@sgc.ca.gov or by mail to the Strategic Growth Council, ATTN: Tabetha Willmon, 1400 Tenth Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 . The SGC intends to consider public comments received as a result of this solicitation, and will prepare proposed final guidelines for consideration by the Council. We thank you for your participation in shaping the draft TCC Program framework and guidelines, and look forward to your continued engagement.
