Welcome to California Climate Investments

We’re excited that you’re here! This welcome page provides administering agencies with some initial background information and helpful resources for new California Climate Investments programs receiving money from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.

California Climate Investments uses billions of Cap-and-Invest dollars to fund projects that reduce harmful emissions, protect public health, strengthen local economies, and support natural environments. With a strong focus on communities most impacted by pollution and limited access to resources, California Climate Investments helps build a more equitable and sustainable future.

For New Administering Agency Program Partners

As a part of California Climate Investments, there are certain requirements your agency must adhere to as you design, implement, and evaluate your program. Our requirements and processes support transparency and consistency throughout all programs. We recommend reviewing the resources below to get started.

Branding

The Media Guidelines outlines branding requirements for all communications. Our media guidelines create consistent branding across all programs to uplift the diverse portfolio of community benefits provided through California Climate Investments.

Program Support

The Roadmap provides a walkthrough of all the steps and processes to adhere to California Climate Investments requirements. The roadmap guides you through coordinating with CARB, developing your program in line with our requirements, reporting data about funded projects, and evaluating your program. In each step, this resource provides checklists and supplemental guidance to support you at every level of development and implementation.

Let’s Connect

Every California Climate Investments program has a designated California Air Resources Board staff member that serves as your program contact and guide throughout all stages of your program. If they have not already, this person will reach out to schedule a kick-off meeting to help you get started and answer your questions.
