Once the legislature appropriates GGRF funds, administering agencies design and implement California Climate Investments programs in accordance with the Funding Guidelines and any program‑specific statutory requirements. The timeline varies depending on program design and implementation.

Select the step below that aligns with your needs to view guidance on how to complete this step and resources to assist. This roadmap may not always be completed sequentially depending on your program’s circumstances and funding cycle. If you have recently been awarded California Climate Investments funding for the first time, you may want to start with Step 1.

Each administering agency is assigned a CARB contact person for each program they implement to support them through implementing the Funding Guidelines. If you have questions after reviewing the Roadmap, please reach out your contact person for additional support.
