California Climate Investments is a portfolio of over 110 State climate programs that fund projects and programs like:
Community-led projects (e.g., community car sharing, composting)
Household-serving voucher programs (e.g., rebates for the purchase of cleaner cars, woodstove replacements)
Large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., affordable housing, transit)

Funds project that advance ocean and coastal resilience and adaptation, consistent with the 2020-2025 Ocean Protection Council Strategic Plan.
Funds adoption of on-site renewable energy technologies, such as wind and solar, at agricultural operations.
Grants that support activities that prevent food waste from being generated and/or becoming landfill waste and distribution of rescued food to people.
Grants that support the construction, renovation, or expansion of facilities to preprocess, digest, or compost organics into compost, soil amendments, biofuels, or bioenergy.
Grants that support construction, renovation, or expansion of facilities to process or manufacture value-added products from California-derived, newly diverted fiber, plastic, or glass waste.
Grants that support replacement of single use containers, food service ware, and packaging with durable, reusable products and recovery of lumber, wood flooring, or wood furniture from landfills or through deconstruction projects for reuse.
Grants that support training program that increase access to high-quality jobs for underserved populations.
Grants for affordable housing and transportation projects near jobs, schools, and other daily destinations.
Funds community-led research projects that focus on integrated land-use planning and climate adaptation and resiliency.
Grant application assistance and implementation support for Tribal, disadvantaged, and low-income communities applying for or carrying out climate mitigation, adaptation, or resilience projects.
Funds California Conservation Corp, which enrolls young adults for a year of service resulting in job skills and work experience implementing forest fuel reduction, habitat restoration, and energy efficiency projects.
Vouchers for zero-emission transportation services such as bike and scooter sharing, electric carsharing and carpooling, on-demand shuttles using electric vans or buses, and fixed-route and traditional transit services, including school buses.
Vouchers for clean truck and bus fleet purchases for public transit and innovative small e-fleets.
Rebates for the purchase or lease of new, eligible light-duty vehicles, including electric, fuel-cell, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
Funds farmers to purchase of agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations.
Funds smoke monitoring and research to optimize existing prescribed burn programs.
Funds hyperlocal air monitoring in communities beyond those selected under the Community Air Protection Program.
Financial incentives for commercial dairy and livestock operators to implement non-digester practices that reduce dairy and livestock manure methane emissions, such as solid separation or conversion.
Technical assistance for farmers and ranchers participating in the Healthy Soils Program, the State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program, and the Alternative Manure Management Program.
Financial incentives that support the design and construction of new digester systems that decrease methane emissions.
Funds research that supports implementation of the California Forest Carbon Plan and Prescribed Fire Monitoring program.
Funds hazardous fuel removal, fire prevention public education, fire prevention and wildfire safety planning.
Grants that support wood product and bioenergy projects and workforce development in the forestry sector.
Financial incentives that support on-farm management practices that sequester carbon, including soil management, establishment of herbaceous and woody cover, and demonstration projects.
Funds demonstration trials evaluating additives and dietary modifications that have the potential to reduce enteric methane emissions in the dairy and livestock sectors.
