What does it fund?

Upgrades to heating, air conditioning, and ventilation (HVAC) systems in public schools are co-funded with GGRF funds. The CalSHAPE program also funds replacement of noncompliant plumbing fixtures and appliances that fail to meet water efficiency standards using other funding sources.

Who is eligible for funds?

California local educational agencies.

How does this program provide benefits to priority populations?

Projects benefit communities through improved indoor air quality and climate control. Priority is given to schools in underserved communities and with a boundary within 500 feet of the edge of the closest traffic lane of a freeway or other busy traffic corridor or within 1,000 feet of a Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. Section 7661 et seq.) Title V permit facility.

Apply on a first come, first served basis through the CalSHAPE Online System.
