Fire prevention and preparedness grants, maintenance of evacuation routes, cooperative extension fire advisors, and land use planning training and recommendations.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is partnering with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, University of California, Cooperative Extension, and county governments to create a new fire outreach and extension program, provide funds and training for local planning, and support community fire prevention and preparedness, including the maintenance of evacuation routes.
