What does it fund?

Protection of critical agricultural lands at risk of conversion to more GHG-intensive residential uses through conservation easements and development of Agricultural Conservation Plans.

Who is eligible for funds?

Easement funding available to local and regional agencies and nonprofits. Strategy and Outcome grants available to local agencies in collaboration with other organizations, such as land trusts and open space districts.

How does this program provide benefits to priority populations?

Projects benefiting disadvantaged communities receive higher application scores and have a lower requirement for matching funds. Benefits can include reducing flood risk and maintaining water quality for priority populations as well as providing educational opportunities through schools and non-profits.
