What does it fund?

The Hazardous Waste Management Program is part of the Cleanup in Vulnerable Communities Initiative. This program funds the preparation of hazardous waste management plans for presentation to the Board of Environmental Safety. These plans are based on hazardous waste management reports and serve as the following:

Comprehensive planning documents for the management of hazardous waste in the state.
Sources of useful information to guide state and local hazardous waste management efforts.
Guides for implementation of DTSC’s hazardous waste management program.
