What does it fund?

The Workforce Training and Development program funds workforce training and development initiatives that help low‑income residents access and advance in clean transportation and mobility careers. These investments focus on expanding pathways into good clean‑transportation jobs, closing gaps in access to training for youth and adults, directing resources toward community‑identified needs, and supporting economic recovery through targeted workforce development in impacted communities.

Who is eligible for funds? 

California-based, accredited, non-profit, adult education or vocational school institutions. 

How does this program provide benefits to priority populations?

The program expands access to clean‑transportation career pathways for residents in disadvantaged communities by partnering with community‑based education and training programs. These investments help priority populations gain skills for quality jobs while ensuring workforce efforts reflect community needs.

Apply through a statewide competitive process.
